My name is Philip Sherlin and my Instructor Number is 95-138.
I graduated from Central High in 1968, went to LRU, Little Rock University, for a year before entering the ARMY. I retired in 1993 as a First Sergent and spent most of my time in Special Forces as a Senior Engineer and Medic on a SCUBA team.
Since retiring I have been an Owner of a Private Security and Investigation Company and a school for Private Investigators and Security Management, a NRA Basic Firearm, Home Firearm Safety, and Personal Protection Instructor. I also was a Hunter Safety Instructor, School Based Security in the LRSD, and a Middle School Math and Science teacher for 10 years in the PCSSD.
I was in the group of firearm instructors that met at the C. A. Vines 4-H Center in Ferndale that came to an agreement on what we thought the initial requirements for the Concealed Handgun License Safety Class that were presented to and were accepted by the AR Legislative Committee.
